Laser Class Champion Xerxes Bamboat – Watch out for him at the Olymipcs 2012!

It was a honor meeting the young dynamic sailor Xerxes Bamboat at the Royal Bombay Yacht Club for a short interview. Friendly, mischievous, ambitious by nature, he is all set to make big in the laser class sailing championship. Sail Sail … Never Give Up!

Few months back the Bendigo Yacht Club in Australia was left in ashes when a major fire broke down at the main storage shed of the club due to some electrical fault. 20 sail boats, two large rescue craft, together with a smaller inflatable rescue boats used for rescue work on Lake Eppalock and training boats for children were destroyed completely.

RBYC ‘Opening’ Dinner – It IS Sailing Season !

What better way to start something important than with a bang or a Big Celebration…!!?
The Royal Bombay Yacht Club – the father of Sailing Clubs in Mumbai has opened the sailing season with their famous celebration BALL.

On the evening of 11th October, the sailing season was officially opened with all the who’s who of the Mumbai sailing scene coming under one roof of the more than 150 year-old RBYC.
