In its fourth edition, the Mumbai International Boat Show 2010 (MIBS) on February 18th to 21st February 2010 is the only show of its kind to be held in Mumbai with both a substantial land and sea component. The Mumbai International Boat Show MIBS 2010 slated to be held between 18th to 21st Feb 2010 already seems packed with exhibitors confirming stalls for the show some of which include the biggest names in the yachting industry worldwide. The event will be held at Bandra Kurla Complex and the marina adjacent to the Gateway of India.

Statistical Surveys Inc. findings for the recreational marine industry show that sales fell 47.6 percent in the 30-foot-and-up segment across all 50 of the United States in 2008. Hinckley Yachts, Mercury MerCruiser, Viking Yachts, Cummins, Crownline, Cruisers, Hatteras and dozens of other manufacturers have laid off a large part of their workforce in the last few months.
