16 July 2009 No Comment

As part of the current deep restructuring of the French yard Jeanneau, its Spanish subsidiary Jeanneau España is being closed down after 28 years of activity. The market will now be run from the head office.

The announcement was made by Ricardo Alamo who has been professionally linked with Jeanneau for the last 22 years, the last six as the general manager of the now extinct subsidiary.

“Over the years we have worked hard and exceeded our targets. In 2007, 2008 and the first half of 2009, Jeanneau has been the number one brand in Spain as per total number of registered new boats, clearly an outstanding achievement outside France,” commented Alamo.

As he expressed his gratitude to the local marine media for all these years of productive collaboration, Alamo spoke of his possible involvement with alternative projects within the marine industry but spared further details.
