Due to ever-changing wind-conditions, the qualifiers spanned over 3 days.

Ultimately, the following teams occupied the top 4 slots :-

1) Mahesh Ramachandran’s Team

2) Farrokh Tarapore’s Team

3) Nitin Mongia’s Team

4) Aashim Mongia’s Team

Thanks to his commitment and experience of over many years in match-racing, Mahesh has continually been able to bring home winning positions in tournaments of past few years.

Speeches from the Bahrain and Russia skippers were a delight – thanking the MRAI for the event. And promising that this was not the last time they would be sailing in Mumbai waters!

SOLAR PUNCH

The highlight of the evening was the band that played after the Awards Ceremony. Solar Punch, touring internationally with an objective to make sure that you can have fun without depleting the resources of Mother Earth.

An entirely solar-powered band, Solar Punch consists of rock musicians who play instruments and speakers that are entirely connected to solar-batteries.

The main event races start from tomorrow – with the inauguration ceremony happening today evening at H2O, Marine Drive Chowpatty.
