Experienced Russian Andrey Arbuzov successfully defended his title in the Mumbai International Match Racing Sailing Championship off the H2O, Chowpatty on Friday.

Arbuzov lost the first race in the best of three final to Pekka, won the next and was trailing by more than a boat’s length in the third, before he and his crew pulled past about 10 metres from the finish line and successfully blocked the Finn till the finish line.

Team Arbuzov (Russia) won over Pekka (Finland) in a thrilling final 2 is to 1.
