THE Mumbai International Match Race 09 (ISAF Grade-II) STARTS OFF !

Today evening was the witness to the opening ceremony for the Mumbai International Match Race ‘09.
Amongst special guests were Chief Guest Colonel Bakshi from the Indian Navy, and Mahi Gill from the forthcoming movie ‘Dev D’ of UTV India Productions.
Speeches from Mahesh Ramachandran, Farrokh Tarapore and Aashim Mongia elaborated the importance of such events – that make India visible on the world sailing map.
Col Bakshi’s speech emphasized on the spirit of Mumbai being evident in the fact that water-related events such as these see the light of the day with the terror strike at the end of last year.
