GOA International Boat Show ‘09 : GRAND FINALE
The curtains came down on the 5th Goa International Boat Show this evening, with unprecedented crowds and relative success for most of the participants.
From a commercial point of view most exhibitors had sold many of their smaller boats and jetskis that they had bought for display purposes.
From internationally acclaimed brands such as Bayliner, Maxum, Regal, Sea Ray, Silver Craft to locally made ones such as Boatcraft (out of Goa, since 11 years), Hunter-M (collaboration between India and Australia) and Praga Marine (probably India’s oldest PWC boat-yard, since 1965) – all dealers were happy with kind of exposure their brands received.
Many companies (CTK, Tushaco Pumps) and federations (Indian Marine Federation, Poland Shipping) were present, raising the credibility of the show further
Most importantly, the Goa boat show was a big success for the boating domain. The boating industry in India requires the kind of exposure and awareness that boat shows such as GIBS ‘09 are able to attract.
The platform created by Trinity World and the efforts put in by them have always made it possible to draw in more crowds year-after-year, and a larger exhibition space – with more and more boats for more and more people.
