CRANCHI Mediterranee 50 HT – The Hard Top of the Mediterrenean…

12 December 2008 No Comment

An independent, family-owned company with a proud heritage, Cranchi has been building boats and yachts in Northern Italy since 1870. That’s when Giovanni Cranchi founded Il Cantiere Nautico Cranchi in a simple workshop on the shores of Lake Como, where he hand-crafted wooden boats on commission for local fishermen and ferrymen.

Today, with the fifth generation of the Cranchi family at the helm, the company operates state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Piantedo, near Milan, and San Giorgio, not far from Venice, building top-quality, high-style fiberglass pleasure boats that are enjoyed by yachtsmen around the world. Each boat Cranchi produces blends decades of experience and craftsmanship with 21st century technology and design.

THE MEDITERRANEE 50 HT

For owners who prefer to combine the thrilling feel of an open yacht with the creature comforts of an enclosed-helm model, Cranchi presents the new Mediterranée HT series. In a master design stroke, the company added custom integrated hardtops to its popular Mediterranée models that enhance their sleek lines without detracting from their stellar performance. The Mediterranée 50 HT’s beautifully engineered hardtop is as eye-catching as it is practical. Its large, automatic sunroof slides open to let in the rays on beautiful days. When the sun gets too intense or the weather turns inclement, it closes at the push of a button to create a sheltered wheelhouse.

At just over 50 feet, the flagship Mediterranée 50 HT sets the standard for all offshore express cruisers in this size range. The stylish cockpit provides an open, airy space designed for sunning and entertaining. It is loaded with standout features such as a full wet bar and al fresco dining area. Everything is ergonomically designed for ultimate comfort and ease of use. Owners will appreciate Cranchi’s signature attention to detail more and more each time they take Mediterranée 50 HT for a cruise.

The truly spacious interior layout encompasses three private staterooms with two heads. Cranchi’s innovative designers placed both a twin and a double stateroom amidships, while the large master stateroom is located in the bow. The contemporary salon with its wraparound sofa and dining table makes an ideal setting for an intimate dinner party. The headroom is exemplary and six side stainless steel portholes and three circular hatches provide plenty of natural light. The galley is stocked with an abundance of storage where everything has its own dedicated space. The fit and striking finish of the cherry-wood cabinetry is certain to impress every guest who boards the Mediterranée 50 HT.
