BMW To Launch Z60 Sailing Yacht
Bavarian motor works aka BMW is all set to sail soon. The German car maker known for making the best cars with robust engines and technology is soon going to launch its first ever designed yacht at the Geneva boat show this year.

One would probably assume the renowned car maker would ideally design a motor yacht like Porsche did, but to people who follow the sailing scene internationally would know that BMW has associated themselves with the sport of sailing since some time now. They are a key part to the famous BMW Oracle team which takes part in the Americas cup.

BMW is all set to launch the Z60 a 60feet sailing yacht which has been designed by the BMW design tem in USA in association with Zeydon who will develop the boat. Zeydon is a Belgium based boatbuilder building semi-custom luxury sailing yachts with a unique design ranging 60ft and up. The 60-ft. Zeydon Z60 (above) combines the sailing potential of a performance offshore yacht with the substantial equipment range and unaffected elegance of a modern luxury cruiser.
The boat has undergone preliminary water testing and is reportedly reaching top speeds of over 17 knots. The interior pictures speak for themselves and give an inviting feeling towards the yacht and the wide beam of apprx 17feet prvides enough room for comfort.
As of 2007 it was announced that there would be only 5-10 units of Zeydon (z60) would be sold per year. The Zeydon Z60 has also been awarded “red dot” quality seal for high design quality in 2008.
